Hunterlodge’s Anna Flood (Financial Controller and Environmental Manager) and Karen Ford (Production and Quality Manager) attended the BSI awards last month to pick up not one, but two new accreditations to add to Hunterlodge’s ever-growing belt.
Anna Flood’s dedication to Hunterlodge’s environmental footprint has landed us the ISO 14001 accreditation.
This accreditation is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS) for organisations.
“The ISO 14001:2015 standard was developed to help reduce their environmental impact while growing their business. For Hunterlodge this has meant that we are now setting internal KPI’s and aim to reduce paper consumption and photocopying by 10% and electricity usage by 5% in 2018. Being green also has a financial advantage as it means greater efficiency and reduced costs. It further is a prerequisite first step of being allowed to pitch as big companies want to see this certification from their suppliers. Karen Ford’s effective quality management has been recognised with the ISO 9001 accreditation. The ISO 9001 covers quality control across facilities, people, training, services and equipment. It’s based on the plan-do-check-act methodology and provides a process-oriented approach to documenting and reviewing the structure, responsibilities, and procedures required to achieve effective quality management in an organisation.
