Lodgers Lend a Hand at Woodoaks Farm

We contributed to creating a greener, more sustainable countryside.

250 trees planted, wildlife boosted, and plenty of muddy fun along the way!

Last Friday, a team of Lodgers headed back to Woodoaks Farm for a hands-on environmental effort—planting 250 trees as part of the ongoing Shelter Belt Project.

This new Woodland Shelter Belt will protect roadside livestock, create a wildlife corridor, and boost biodiversity. It also supports carbon sequestration and provides long-term farm resources like woodchips and stakes.

The Woodland Trust, played a key role in bringing this project to life—helping to source the trees and advising on the design, planting, and maintenance.

The day was a fantastic mix of teamwork, learning, and giving back to the local community. With every tree planted, we contributed to creating a greener, more sustainable countryside, that will benefit both wildlife and future generations. Of course, no Lodgers outing is complete without a bit of fun along the way!

We’re already looking forward to our next visit and continuing to support the brilliant work happening at Woodoaks Farm.
