As our interviews continue this week we head back upstairs to meet the woman in charge of our marketing department. Meet Sally Hunter.
What is your role at Hunterlodge?
I'm the Marketing Director.
And what projects are you currently involved in?
Lots of exciting pitch work including a top world ranking University, an iconic car brand and a group of international reproductive health clinics.
Where are you from originally?
I'm from High Wycombe originally, birthplace of the notorious Hellfire Club and previous home to the fantastic James Cordon and Benjamin Disraeli.
So why advertising?
It's such a creative and collaborative industry that is constantly changing. There is always something new to learn and I love the fact that I can be working on something different every day. There are so many different aspects to advertising that it enables me to feel continually challenged and work harder to up my game!
With such a strong focus on effectiveness at Hunterlodge, why does effectiveness matter so much to you?
I'm a bit of a perfectionist and want everything to be as good as it possibly can. Being effective is a major part of being successful for me - how else can you prove that everything you do has been successful without having some form of measurement that proves you've met your ultimate objective?
Some favourites now - favourite food?
It has to be cheese and curry - although I have to limit myself (usually unsuccessfully) to how much I eat of both.
Favourite project you've worked on here at Hunterlodge or previously?
I think it has to be winning the Cats Protection pitch. It's such a lovely account that is generating fantastic results and was a great example of the whole agency working together and producing the best possible work across strategy, creative, media and digital.
Favourite thing to do with your spare time?
What I like to do in my spare time and what I actually do is completely different. I love to read and can think of nothing better than curling up on the sofa with a good book - but what I actually do is drive my three kids to various places so they can enjoy their spare time.
Tell us something we might not know about you?
I'm really hypermobile and can stand with one foot facing forwards and the other backwards.
How about a random fact about you or something you find interesting?
Apparently if you lift a kangaroo's tail off the ground it can't hop. I've never actually tried it so can't guarantee it is actually true though!
