A returning face to the Lodge from work experience to full-time. Meet Will Turner.
What is your role at Hunterlodge?
I’m an Account Executive.
And what projects are you currently involved in?
I’m currently working across the Henley Business School and McLaren accounts.
Where are you from originally?
Born in Watford, raised in Rickmansworth and educated in Chorleywood. I now live in Croxley Green, but my true home will always be Rickmansworth!
So why advertising?
A love for communications, business, art and design was the perfect combination to set me off on the yellow brick road to ‘Adland’. I grew up with ads like Cadbury’s “Gorilla” and Sony “Balls” which showed me that the solutions to client problems could be brilliant, creative and most importantly effective!
With such a strong focus on effectiveness at Hunterlodge, why does effectiveness matter so much to you?
The Mad Men days are over. Excellent creative driven by data is, in my opinion the future of advertising. In such a cluttered communications landscape, it is now more important than ever to create advertising that utilises the right channels to cut through the ‘noise’ and achieve client objectives.
Some favourites now - favourite food?
Favourite project you've worked on here at Hunterlodge or previously?
Having had little previous experience working with print, working on the ICMA, MBA & Careers brochures has been a great introduction!
Favourite thing to do with your spare time?
I love travel, collecting music, photography and writing.
Tell us something we might not know about you?
I share my name with a Disney character.
How about a random fact about you or something you find interesting?
Light doesn’t necessarily travel at the speed of light. The slowest light that has ever been recorded was moving at 38 miles per hour.
