Campaign Objective
How do you celebrate the news of winning the 2012 Olympic Games whilst promoting the benefits to local residents and survey what they want from its legacy? The London Borough of Newham asked us to provide the answer.
Result

Our solution was to throw a huge party! Working with the borough's communications department, we devised and implemented an event marketing strategy to engage local residents and businesses.
Organisers predicted attendance of 10,000, but expectations were smashed when 32,000 rocked up, triggering BBC and ITV news to cover what turned out to be a huge community event. The Big Sunday won the Haymarket Event Award for Most Effective Event Activity and Best Celebration Event.
